摘要: G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) are a diverse superfamily of membrane-bound receptors. The second largest subgroup GPCRs, the Adhesion has 33 members in humans. Phylogenetic analysis entire repertoire seven transmembrane- domain (7TM) regions GPCRs shows that form distinct family. characterised by (1) long N termini with multiple functional domains often found other proteins such as tyrosine kinases, integrins and cadherins, (2) highly complex genomic structure introns splice variants (3) 7TM region no clear similarities from GPCRs. Several known to have role immune system but it is becoming more evident many important roles CNS. We speculate overall structural construction allows them participate different types cell guidance.
