摘要: This book demonstrates the close relationship between religion and democracy in India. Religious practice creates ties among citizens that can generate positive democratic political outcomes. In pursuing this line of inquiry questions a dominant strand some contemporary social sciences - religious denomination (Catholic, Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, so on) is sufficient to explain politics or are antithetical each other. The makes strong case for studying placing panoply other practices showing positively associated with democracy.
