摘要: Question: 1. How do the competitive response and importance of competition vary between species along a flooding gradient? 2. does role in constraining distribution limits gradient lower upper limits? Location: A 1-ha meadow within Alzette floodplain Luxembourg. Methods: Competitive were assessed on seven differing their tolerance to flooding. Species cultured monocultures mixtures, three water treatments reflecting wet, middle dry end natural gradient. We developed two models based multiple regression order express each component as function neighbour biomass. Results: Five showed variations across treatments; however, these achieved either highest or worst optimal treatment (i.e. which had biomass monoculture). Competition was more important for flood-tolerant than flood-intolerant wet treatment. Conclusions: Variations responses gradients may be result an amplified effect hydrological stresses, hierarchical stress over competition. The is gradients.
