Chemical vapor deposition growth of boron-carbon-nitrogen layers from methylamine borane thermolysis products.

摘要: This work investigates the growth of B-C-N layers by chemical vapor deposition using methylamine borane (MeAB) as single-source precursor. MeAB has been synthesized and characterized, paying particular attention to analysis its thermolysis products, which are gaseous precursors for growth. Samples have grown on Cu foils transferred onto different substrates their morphological, structural, chemical, electronic optical characterizations. The results these characterizations indicate a segregation h-BN graphene-like (Gr) domains. However, there is an important presence B N interactions with C at Gr borders, interacting h-BN-edges, respectively, in obtained nano-layers. In particular, significant C-N bonds, Gr/h-BN borders form doping overall B:C:N contents close 1:3:1.5. A careful bandgap determination presented, discussed compared previous seminal works samples similar composition.
