摘要: A retrospective investigation of 51 cases sudden unexplained death syndrome (SUDS) reported to the Medico-Legal Centre in Dammam during period January 1995 June 1997 was carried out. The vast majority SUDS victims were Indians (43%). study reports non-East Asian subjects, including indigenous Saudis, for first time. Autopsy examination out on 22 subjects and did not reveal any significant pathological lesions which could fully explain death. However, seven showed mild moderate cardiac hypertrophy (of whom two had coronary stenosis), another four a similar degree narrowing without evidence myocardial hypertrophy.
