摘要: The inclusion complex between 16,17α-epoxyprogesterone (EP) and randomly methylated β-cyclodextrin (RM-β-CD) was prepared by freeze-drying method subsequently characterized means of differential scanning calorimetry, X-ray powder diffractometry, electron microscopy Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy techniques. results clearly revealed that EP molecules were included in the cavity RM-β-CD, thus giving rise to solubility enhancement aqueous solution. effect RM-β-CD on solution evaluated phase diagram. amount increased linearly with addition according an AL type plot, indicating formation 1:1 stoichiometric complexes. Thermodynamic study showed complexation process (ΔG = −34.4 kJ mol−1) driven both favorable enthalpy (ΔH −21.4 entropy (ΔS 43.2 J mol−1 K−1) changes. Dissolution studies such offered a marked improvement dissolution rate compared alone physical mixture.
