New Selective Cytotoxic Diterpenylquinones and Diterpenylhydroquinones

摘要: A new series of diterpenylquinone/hydroquinones has been prepared by Diels-Alder cycloaddition between three labdanic diterpenoids (myrceocommunic acid, methyl myrceocommunate, and myrceocommunyl acetate) p-benzoquinone or 1,4-naphthoquinone. Influences the quinone/hydroquinone fragment other structural features, such as different functionalities in terpenic core, are considered relation to cytotoxicity toward neoplastic cells selectivity these diterpenylnaphthoquinones/hydroquinones anthraquinones. Several compounds showed IC50 values under micromolar level, four derivatives were evaluated at NCI screening panel. The results an important renal cancer lines, identifying a very promising group antineoplastics.
