摘要: Abstract A novel esterase isolated from Fusarium oxysporum was investigated for the synthesis of short-chain esters geraniol by alcoholysis and direct esterification reactions in organic solvents. The enzyme used as a dried powder (i.e., not immobilized). reaction parameters affecting behavior such nature solvent acyl donor, concentration substrates water activity system were studied. High yields (80–90%) obtained both approaches (alcoholysis esterification) at low values ( w =0.11) n -hexane. retain its catalytic even after fifth reuse -hexane =0.11, demonstrating stability efficiency under conditions this study.
