摘要: The pink bollworm, Pectinophora gossypiella, is a world-wide pest of cotton and in some parts the growing region controlled by mating disruption technique using synthetic sex pheromone. pheromone consists two compounds, (Z,Z)- (Z,E)-7,11-hexadecadienyl acetates, about 50:50 ratio. However, recently, population with compound ratios 62:38 were found fields that use Israel. To investigate how change developed, we compared gland transcriptomes between reference laboratory obtained from an Israeli field utilizing disruption. We analyzed four biological replicates each transcripts encoding 17 desaturases, 8 reductases, candidate acetyltransferases both populations, which could be involved biosynthesis. expression abundance genes populations was different. Some desaturases to have mutated one populations. differentially expressed play potential roles biosynthesis causing altered female population.
