摘要: Effect of alcohols on the permeability blood-brain barrier was studied in anaesthetised dogs using sodium fluorescein as circulant. Entry cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) measured spectrophotofluorometrically. Methyl, ethyl, propyl and butyl were used study. Methyl alcohol did not increase entry CSF compared to control. However, significantly increased fluorescein. The dependent upon length alkyl chain alcohols. Longer aliphatic more marked effect. also concentration alcohol. Thus 90% ethyl effective than 30% this effect concentration-dependent. could be correlated lipid solubility
