Associations of Organizational Safety Practices and Culture With Physical Workload, Perceptions About Work, and Work-Related Injury and Symptoms Among Hospital Nurses

摘要: Objective The study aim was to examine the relationships of organizational safety practices with nurses' perceptions about job and risk experiences work-related injury symptoms. Background Nursing professions report high rates injuries. Organizational have been linked workers' outcomes work. Methods This analyzed data from a random sample 280 California RNs in cross-sectional statewide survey. Data were collected by both postal online surveys. Results Higher (safety climate, ergonomic practices, people-oriented culture) significantly associated lower physical workload, strain, higher satisfaction, perception, symptom experiences. Ergonomic culture less intention leaving job. Conclusions may play pivotal role improving positive jobs, reducing risks, promoting nurse retention.
