摘要: Regulated cell death is one major factor to ensure homoeostasis in multicellular organisms. For decades, apoptosis was considered as the sole form of regulated death, whereas necrosis believed be accidental and unregulated. Due this view, research on somewhat neglected, especially field anti-cancer treatment. However, new interest has been sparked by recent discovery different forms that show indeed pathways. More more studies now address molecular pathways its connections within cellular signaling networks. Necroptosis, a subform necrosis, so far hardly focused with regard future treatment cancer patients may emerge novel effective approach eliminate tumor cells. similar apoptosis, cells can develop resistances against necroptosis their own survival. In context, molecules enhance are currently being identified overcome such resistances. This review discusses friends or foes, i.e. options exploit therapies ("foes"), but also potential limitations block actually cause act protumoral manner ("friends"). The balance between these two possible roles will determine whether used promising tool for early diagnosis tumors, prevention metastasis
