摘要: Abstract The requirements for communicating ecosystem services (ES) information often are not considered in operationalizing ES concepts. In particular, the heterogeneous uses of require different functionalities and qualities provided, which must be when processing data into types information. relevant factors that influence usability include users’ knowledge cognitive ability as well case study–specific factors. This missing can affect transformation concept practice, thus preventing use further development or to sustainable management. Providing is useful decision-making depends on understanding potential demands their processes involving making decisions. this contribution, we present evaluation specific design features a prototype decision support system assessed an eye-tracking experiment. study was conducted with more than 100 participants who were split two groups. both groups had background spatial planning but differed connection region. tool presented various GIS-based modeled land-use scenarios driven by new policy recently adopted Switzerland lead impacts shown additional indicators about landscape aesthetic visualizations. results show there significant differences between way they perceived, interpreted used ES-based tasks. We also identified critical key defining representation perception processes. summary, provide recommendations representing based intended identify could potentially
