摘要: Abstract Objectives Superficial and cutaneous fungal infections (SCFIs) are an important public health problem common in tropical subtropical countries. Pityriasis versicolor, dermatophytosis, erythrasma, onychomycosis, otomycosis the major diseases associated with SCFIs. The aim of this study was to evaluate prevalence causative agents dermatomycoses over a period 10 years Kerman province, southeast Iran. Methods A number 1782 subjects, including 1096 females 686 males, disorders their skin, nail, hair suspected have SCFIs participated study. collected specimens were examined using direct microscopy examination, staining, culture on specific media PCR-RFLP technique. Results In total, 617 (34.62%) subjects had SCFIs, whom 290 (47%) female 327 (53%) male. Identified included yeast infections, saprophyte due non-dermatophytic molds (NDMs). highest found among 41–50-year 31–40-year age groups. Tinea unguium most clinical pattern dermatomycoses, T. mentagrophytes predominant agent. Also, Aspergillus spp. NDMs onychomycosis otomycosis. Conclusions This summarized epidemiological trends etiologic 10-year Kerman, Consideration current epidemiologic knowledge exact may play key role towards further investigations, diagnosis, modification treatments.
