摘要: Serum glucose and plasma C-peptide response to i.v. glucagon administration was evaluated in 24 healthy dogs, 12 dogs with untreated diabetes mellitus, 30 insulin-treated 8 naturally acquired hyperadrenocorticism. insulin also all except 20 diabetic dogs. Blood samples for serum glucose, insulin, determinations were collected immediately before 5, 10, 20, 30, (for dogs) 60 minutes after of 1 mg per dog. In the patterns glucagon-stimulated changes concentrations identical, single peaks observed approximately 15 administration. Mean mean concentration did not increase significantly The validity results questionable 10 possibly because anti-insulin antibody interference radioimmunoassay. Plasma increased (P 0.29 pmol/mL) above normal concentration; values that higher, compared < .001) other 35 .001). summary, measurement during stimulation testing allowed differentiation among impaired beta-cell function (ie, mellitus), responsiveness resistance). variable may represent type-1 type-2 or, more likely, differences severity loss diabetes.
