摘要: Within plant cells carotenoids are synthesized exclusively in three types of plastids (chloroplasts, chromoplasts, and etioplasts) from the general prenyllipid precursor isopentenyl pyrophosphate (IPP). In this brief review I shall tackle points view, formation or cellular compartmentation formation, respectively, IPP, carotenogenic enzymes chromoplasts other plastids.
