摘要: Abstract In this paper, the realized niche of Snowy Plover (Charadrius alexandrinus), a primarily resident Florida shorebird, is described as function scenopoetic and bionomic variables at nest-, landscape-, regional-scale. We identified some possible geomorphological controls that influence nest-site selection survival using data collected along Gulf coast. particular, we focused on effects beach replenishment interventions (SP), migratory Piping (PP) melodus) Red Knot (RK) (Calidris canutus). Additionally, investigated potential differences between SP breeding wintering distributions only regional-scale physiognomic recorded occurrences. To quantify relationship past renourishment projects shorebird species used Monte Carlo procedure to sample from posterior distribution binomial probabilities region not nesting or ground conditional occurrence intervention in same previous year. The results indicate it was 2.3, 3.1, 0.8 times more likely following year with for SP, PP RK respectively. For 2.5. after event. Through maximum entropy principle model observed small habitat use during season. However, habitats where appeared quite different. While ecological models macro-scale are useful determining suitability ranges, characterization species’ local fundamentally important adopting concrete multispecies management scenarios. Maintaining creating optimal suitable characterized by sparse low vegetation foredunes areas, uneven/low-slope surfaces, proposed conservation scenario convert anthropic restorations populations into positive feedback without impacting other threatened species.
