摘要: The pelvic peristalsis "milks" the renal papilla in rodents. This study investigates effect of contractions upon fluid papillary loops Henle (LH) and capillaries (cap) on volume collecting duct (CD) cells, epithelial (PE) cells interstitium. In anesthetized antidiuretic hamsters urine was made green by an intravenous infusion lissamine green. A snare placed loosely around papilla. recorded a Grass recorder using fiberoptic light signal which changed intensity with events pelvis one group tightened during contraction another at beginning relaxation. within then fixed immediately. It epon-embedded for electron microscopy. contracted CD, LH, cap were all closed empty; elongated. relaxed pelves these structures full open spaces seen between CD PE. Morphometric measurements showed that intercollecting larger papillae pelvis, but cell PE pelvis. is suggested moves into when flows through interstitium
