摘要: Background The course of asthma is frequently altered by pregnancy, but the mechanisms remain undefined. Objective purpose this study was to identify specific maternal or pregnancy characteristics that are related during pregnancy. Methods A secondary analysis a previous prospective identified 568 pregnant women whose patient-reported compared with women's usual disease course. Potential explanatory variables were between groups defined their versus (better, worse, same). Results Improvement noted in 33.6%, worsening reported 36.3%, no change 26.4%, and uncertain 3.7%. There significant concordance rhinitis Rhinitis improved 51.1% patients worsened 19.8% these women. 55.9% 2.1% No relationships found gestational demographic factors, panic-fear score, smoking, weight, infant birth sex. Conclusions relationship symptoms may have clinical mechanistic significance. Further studies will be necessary test hypothesis.
