摘要: Abstract Objective Frailty is one of many serious problems in countries with aging populations, such as Japan. The aim this study was to examine whether higher scores on the newly developed self-report questionnaire for frailty are associated adults being certified needing care under new long-term insurance (LTCI) service requirement, over 2 years community-dwelling older Japanese adults. Design A prospective cohort study. Setting and Participants We analyzed data (65 years older) from a followed 5852 individuals association between at baseline LTCI requirement certifications. Outcome outcome certifications services 2-year period. Measurements 5-item screening index, which included nutrition/shrinking, physical function, activity, forgetfulness, emotions/exhaustion. Results prevalence values prefrailty using our index were 12.5% 54.1%, respectively. During follow-up period, 2.3% died 8.5% became services. Prefrail (adjusted hazard ratio: 8.4 [95% CI 5.0–14.2]) frail 22.7 13.3–38.8]) had significantly risk than robust determined by multivariate analyses. Conclusion can predict disability
