摘要: Canola meal was extracted with 95% ethanol at 80 degrees C. The dried crude extract dissolved in methanol and fractionated on a Sephadex LH-20 column. Seven major fractions were isolated according to UV absorption contents of phenolics sugars. Antioxidant activity these evaluated beta-carotene/linoleate model system. Fraction IV showed the best antioxidative effect by exhibiting highest preventive against bleaching beta-carotene. This fraction further separated thin-layer chromatography. Four bands present; band Rf value 0.50 found be most effective preventing oxidation characterized UV, MS, IR, (1)H NMR, (13)C[(1)H] NMR techniques. active compound identified as 1-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl sinapate.
