摘要: The aim of the study was to investigate presence and distribution chromogranin A-derived peptide catestatin in rat eye trigeminal ganglion by immunofluorescence using an antibody which recognizes not only free but also larger fragments containing sequence catestatin. Western blots were performed attempt characterize immunoreactivities detected antiserum. Sparse immunoreactive nerve fibers visualized corneal stroma, chamber angle, sphincter muscle association with dilator muscle, stroma ciliary body processes, dense irideal around blood vessels at limbus choroid cells innermost retina representing amacrine as identified colocalization substance P. Furthermore, catestatin-immunoreactivity small medium-sized there abundant catestatin-positive stained throughout ganglion. Double P revealed both well choroid. are present obviously and/or small-sized catestatin-containing ocular nerves large processed well, weak more prominent remaining tissues, possibly endothelial cells. This indicates that this is a constituent sensory neurons innervating typical for neuropeptides. Catestatin biologically highly active might be significance pathophysiology eye.
