摘要: Abstract Adlay, barley and rice bran were extracted using various concentrations of methanol(10% 80%) chloroform :methanol(2 : 1) to examine the biological activities these raw grains. Extraction with 80% methanol resulted in high Vitamin C Equivalent Antioxidant Capacity(VCEAC), order > adlay, as determined by DPPH ABTS assays. In addition, extracts adlay showed cellular antioxidant activity HepG2 cells possibly due presence polyphenol glycosides We examined expression glucose/fatty acid metabolizing genes differentiated 3T3-L1 adipocyte cells. Glut1 was downregulated after treatment no changes Glut4 observed. contrast, involved fatty metabolism, CD36 aP2, upregulated. Since physiological matched peroxisome proliferator activating receptor γ(PPARγ) agonism, we suggest that from may play preventive roles against aging diabetes via increased uptake acids adipocytes. Key words: activity, PPARγ, aging, diabetes.
