Protective Effect of Co-treatment of Lutein and Fucoidan Against AAPH-Induced Damage in THP-1 Cells

摘要: Abstract This study was designed to investigate the protective effect of combination fucoidan and lutein against AAPH-induced oxidative stress in THP-1 cells. The existed significant antioxidant on AAPH- damaged cells by using lipid peroxidation cellular capacity assay. Fucoidan(1 ㎍/㎖) lutein(10 did not affect at all viability cells, but protected AAPH-damage same concentration. 0% with 1 mM AAPH alone, fucoidan(1 37% 36%, respectively. exhibited inhibitory TBARS assay DCFH-DA In peroxidation, value alone 0.8±0.03 nM MDA, its 0.2±0.05 MDA. capacity, 76%, whereas quercetin(10 μM) as positive control 32%. These results indicate that cotreatment protects cell damage inhibiting increasing capacity. Key words: lutein, fucoidan, antioxidant, line.
