摘要: Notable distinctions between an embryonic stem cell (ESC) and somatic are that ESC can maintain undifferentiated state indefinitely, self-renew, is pluripotent, meaning the potentially generate cells representing all three primordial germ layers contribute to terminally differentiated of a conceptus. These attributes make ideal source for genome editing both agricultural biomedical applications. Although, lines have been successfully established from rodents primates, authentic ungulate on contrary still not available. Outstanding issues including but limited differences in pluripotency characteristics among existing lines, pre-implantation embryo development, pathways, culture conditions plague our efforts establish farm animals. In this review, we highlight some these discuss how recent derivation induced pluripotent (iPSCs) might augur establishment robust
