摘要: In Escherichia coli, nonsense suppression at UAA codons is governed by the competition between a suppressor tRNA and translational release factors RF1 RF2. We have employed plasmids carrying genes for RF2 to measure factor preference 13 different sites in lacI gene. show here that activity of varies according messenger context. favored which are efficiently suppressed. preferred poorly suppressed sites.
