摘要: This study was set up to establish the prevalence of Listeria monocytogenes in tonsils sows and fattening pigs from five Finnish slaughterhouses evaluate genetic similarity L. strains isolated tonsils. A total 271 pig (132 139 sows) different various parts Finland were studied June 1999 March 2000. Overall, 14 4% harbored innocua, respectively. The (22%) significantly higher than (6%). isolates (n = 38) recovered showed a wide diversity by means 24 pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) types presented strains. Moreover, numerical analyses restriction patterns, no association found between clustering slaughterhouses, showing similar PFGE type slaughterhouses. high could indicate potential source contamination pluck sets, carcasses, slaughterhouse environment subsequent processing steps.
