摘要: Listeria monocytogenes is a foodborne pathogen of major concern for public health in industrialized countries. carriage by pigs at the herd level could be primary source carcass contamination. Forty-seven finishing pig facilities were involved present study designed to compare three environmental swabbing sites order detect spp. piggeries. Swabs taken from pen walls, perianal regions and trough/feeder piggery premises. contamination wet or dry feed given was also investigated. The capacity various sampling detection compared with maximum likelihood estimation method. recovered 74% pens studied L. detected 15% pens. With specificity 99%, sensitivity estimates (and 95% CI) method 93.4% (72.7-98.7) 73.1% (54.9-85.9) 66.6% (48.6-80.7) trough/feeder. isolated 84% samples 5% samples. found 13% type feeding (wet versus dry) associated (P < 0.001) both feed. results this confirm that spp., including monocytogenes, are facilities. Pen wall appears an effective way assess status pigs. play role
