摘要: We evaluated the impact of nine community-based drug prevention, education, and treatment projects for pregnant postpartum women using a quasi-experimental design. Projects provided case management referral to services or day treatment. Self-reported measures six substances were collected (a) from intake delivery (b) 6 months postpartum. hypothesized that who received project (n = 370) between follow-ups would be more likely deter reduce substance use than an alternative no intervention 288). Data showed clients had significantly lower 30-day rates on four measures-alcohol, any illicit drug(s), marijuana, crack-from delivery, with preintervention alcohol other drugs controlled. However, none these results was maintained through Findings are discussed in terms difficulty detecting documenting promising program effects over time this population.
