摘要: PURPOSE OF REVIEW: Cough lasting more than 8 weeks is a common presenting complaint to the otolaryngologist. Historically, chronic cough has been attributed post-nasal drip, laryngopharyngeal reflux and cough-variant asthma. This study reviews from viewpoint of an RECENT FINDINGS: More recent studies suggest influence laryngeal neuropathy its interplay with reflux. There limited evidence for drip or asthma causing cough. SUMMARY: In this study, we review cause cough, as well up date techniques otolaryngologist, including transnasal esophagoscopy, assess patient in clinic allowing accurate diagnosis.
