摘要: Recent studies of observational data suggest that Sea Surface Temperature (SST) anomalies in the Atlantic Ocean have a significant influence on atmospheric circulation Atlantic-European sector early winter and spring. After reviewing this work showing spring signal is part global air-sea interaction, we analyze for comparison an ensemble simulations with ECHAM4 general model T42 resolution forced by observed distribution SST sea ice, simulation ECHAM4/OPA8 coupled T30 resolution. In two cases, atmosphere detected sector. mode, responds to from late summer, also winter. The forcing involves not only tropical Atlantic, but whole band, suggesting strong ENSO influence. modeled resembles seen observations spring, has summer. Although anomaly confined summer shows some similarity simulations. However, there no counterpart observations.
