摘要: The surface heat flux feedback in the Atlantic Ocean is estimated ECHAM4/OPA8 coupled model. net negative everywhere, mostly ranging between 15 and 35 W m–2 K–1, but reaching up to 50 K–1 tropics, so that it damps existing sea temperature anomalies. bulk of due turbulent flux, although tropics radiation also strongly contributes. strongest fall winter at extra-tropical latitudes, spring summer near equator. At mid-latitudes, remains small each season, can be parts tropics. latitudes model compares rather well with estimates derived Part I from COADS observations NCEP reanalysis, tropical much too strong. An indirect estimation attempted regions mean current, based on difference decay time salinity inferred qualitatively correct, seasonal changes mixed-layer depth are large for method accurate high latitudes.
