摘要: Unemployment is common in people with psycho-sis (1). This clearly true once the illness hasbegun, where it mainly represents difficulty ofreturning to work context of persistentsymptoms, self-stigmatisation and employerprejudice. However, high rates unemploymentare also seen before identified onset (2). has usually been interpreted as aconsequence postulated prodromal symptoms orneurodevelopmental impairment (3, 4), but there isno a priori reason why unemployment should nothave aetiological effects.
