Attitudes toward and Knowledge about Wolves in SW German Secondary School Pupils from within and outside an Area Occupied by Wolves (Canis lupus).

摘要: Wolves (Canis lupus) were exterminated from most areas of western Europe during the last two centuries, but, decades, wolves re-entered their previous distribution area in Germany. We compared secondary school students within and outside a delineated wolf area, analysed gender, age, residency. A total 254 participated this study (age: M = 12.63 ± 2.17). used measurement introduced which consisted three parts, demographics, attitudes knowledge. There was significant overall effect residency toward wolves. More specifically, age related to subscale interest learn, with lower scores an increasing age. Girls reported higher level fear. Conservation than outside. Boys had knowledge girls. greater conservation, fear, acceptance hunting. Hence, order improve students’ conservation attitudes, it would be useful foster learning about at school. Special attention should paid ensuring that girls also internalize content these lessons.
