摘要: Widespread use of synthetic pesticides has resulted in the development insecticide-resistant populations pests and harmful effects on human health environment. There is a need to identify alternative pest management strategies reduce our reliance conventional chemical pesticides. In recent years botanical for protecting crops from insect assumed greater importance. Methanol extract Alangium salvifolium (L.f.) Wang potential insecticidal activity against Spodoptera litura Fab. The active fractions were identified through chromatographic techniques as F-IV (Rf value=0.45) F-VI value=0.63) subjected GC-MS (GCMATE II). Fifty, 100 200ppm applied fourth instar larvae mortality increased with higher concentrations. Relative consumption rate, relative growth efficiency conversion ingested food digested values all decreased treated larvae, but approximate digestibility rate after treatment. hydrolytic enzymes, such acid phosphatase, alkaline phosphatase glycolytic enzyme lactate dehydrogenase inhibited compared controls. histopathology study revealed that epithelial columnar cells enlarged, completely atrophied; intercellular spaces swollen, also noted cytoplasmic ooze cell material mixed column. present clearly showed A. botanicals control S. litura. This first report nutritional indices, enzymatic activities histological constituents Thus probably, this will be used an polyphagous like
