摘要: Colorectal cancer can develop by two distinct pathogenic mechanisms: one involving chromosomal breakage and aneuploidy (called instability) mutations at DNA micro-satellite sequences (termed instability). Relatively few reports consider these mechanisms of colorectal development across racial or ethnic groups. Available data indicate a moderate increase in risk among Ashkenazi Jews who have mutational polymorphism codon 1307 the APC gene. In American blacks, there is evidence for higher prevalence right-sided colonic tumors an earlier age onset cancer. addition, blacks highest colon incidence United States groups poorer 5-year survival rates compared with whites. While some differences may be attributed to health care access socioeconomic differences, do not completely explain all variances. instability pathway, are polymorphisms within P53 gene that more prevalent but significance fully known. Blacks likely demonstrate their tumors; however, mechanism this phenomenon unexplored. Differences diet polymorphic variations drug metabolizing acetylation genes been adequately cataloged. Identification genetic environmental factors should offer insights into observed epidemiologic advance opportunities better understand control
