摘要: Five areas of research concerned with language acquisition— cognitive processes, semantics, pragmatics, phonology, and syntax— are reviewed in terms their contribution to understanding disorders. Two views processes discussed. One these, emphasizing mechanisms such as short-term memory, is seen providing possible explanations for some types deficits.
