摘要: DNA protection is one of the most important strategies in cancer therapy. Since quercetin and its derivatives are found to be potent antioxidant agents, they able scavenge radicals significantly. Therefore, we focused on activity 3,5,7,3′,4′-pentamethoxyflavone (PMF), a derivative isolated from Kaemperia parviflora. Although, PMF was very poor compound, still it could remarkably protect oxidative damage. binding assay showed that bound minor groove DNA, which suggests possible mechanism for protective effects. Cellular toxicity RAW 264.7 macrophages this compound safe therapeutic applications.
