摘要: Abstract A synthetic peptide corresponding to sequence 91–101 of the Chironomus thummi haemoglobins ( Chi t I ) components III and IV was used investigate binding cross-reactivity with polyclonal human IgE rabbit IgG antibodies murine 1 subclass monoclonal (MABs). The reacted from all three mammals. specificity reaction, especially that shown by dose dependent inhibition native component III. Epitope(s) reacting these were also found in 14 15 chironomid species analyzed. III/IV enabled identification an important antigenic/allergenic determinant broadly distributed insect family Chironomidae. antigenic potency this as testing IgE, mouse MABs, widespread occurrence epitope identical or homologous and/or superficial location, qualifies for therapeutic applications medicine.
