摘要: Abstract By electroplating lead–tin alloys on a lightweight substrate material, such as glassy carbon, it is possible to obtain less dense electrodes with good contact between the active material and substrate. The former especially important for lead–acid battery since has relatively low energy density compared many other systems. In order higher power densities applications in, example, electric or hybrid vehicles, weight of needs be minimised. present investigation, oxidation electrodeposited in 5 M H 2 SO 4 was studied function tin concentration. were prepared by electrodeposition behaviour means cyclic voltammetry. Microstructural information deposited layer obtained scanning electron microscopy (SEM). experimental results show that contain supersaturated solid solution phase up 12 at.% Sn. Oxidation this leads formation PbO increased conductivity pure PbO. addition, amounts decrease increasing alloy high alloys, where bulk present, no observed.
