摘要: OBJECTIVE To investigate the prognostic value of regulatory T cells (Tregs) and its correlation with cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) expression in clear cell renal carcinoma (RCC). PATIENTS AND METHODS CD4+, Foxp3+ tumour-infiltrating lymphocytes tumour COX-2 were assessed by immunohistochemistry tissue microarrays containing RCC from 125 patients. Prognostic effects low high evaluated Cox regression Kaplan–Meier analysis using median values as thresholds. The Tregs compared clinicopathological variables. In addition, was also analysed. RESULTS Peritumoral positively correlated intratumoral (Spearman rank 0.336, P < 0.001). Peritumoral associated TNM stage (P = 0.001) size (P = 0.002), while (P = 0.018) grade (P = 0.013). Using multivariate analysis, increased peritumoral Tregs, higher (III + IV), larger (≥7 cm) nuclear (III + IV) independent predictors for significantly shorter overall survival disease-free survival. CONCLUSIONS Increased are worse prognosis RCC. may be underlying reason aberrant gathering Tregs. These results suggest that clinical application inhibitors benefit those patients immunostaining reducing transformation
