摘要: We evaluated total adiponectin, high-molecular weight (HMW), medium-molecular (MMW), low-molecular (LMW) adiponectin subfractions, clinical parameters, routine lab lipids, metabolic, inflammatory biomarkers, and intima-media thickness (IMT) of common carotid arteries in 70 obese juveniles adolescents with preatherosclerosis 55 normal controls similar age gender distribution. Compared the controls, probands had a significantly increased IMT (P < 0.001) elevated ultra-sensitive C-reactive protein indicating early vascular burden. Total HMW were decreased cohort. The ratio between was whereas LMW/total increased. Overall, total-, HMW, MMW negatively correlated IMT. HMW/total negatively, positively Furthermore, high-density lipoprotein (HDL)-cholesterol serum apolipoprotein A1, BMI, triglycerides, homeostatic model assessment (HOMA)-index, leptin, liver transaminases, uric acid. This remained stable after controlling for gender. Multiple regression analysis body measures all other parameters showed strongest correlation (β = −0.35, P 0.001). Taken together, our study provides first evidence that is associated altered subfractions multiple testing subfraction better to compared adiponectin.
