摘要: Humoral and cell-mediated responses to crude purified parasite antigens were examined in patients with active cutaneous leishmaniasis caused by Leishmania major. The had serum antibody titres against lysates ranging from 1/500 1/10,000 recognized multiple components Western blotting molecular weights between 5000 greater than 200,000. Several components, particularly at 5 50 kD, most of the patients. lymphoproliferative two pure antigens, promastigote surface protease lipophosphoglycan, both considered potential candidates for development a human vaccine measured. No response was observed even 10 micrograms/ml; however, weak proliferation lipophosphoglycan consistently present. T cell blots examining peripheral blood lymphocyte proliferation, showed antigen-specific 72-82 kD component lysates.
