摘要: Due to its association with low-quality milk and a decrease in production bovines, mastitis is major cause of economic loss. Additionally, can be harmful suckling newborns damage the mammary gland. In mastitic secretions there substantial increase somatic cells, specifically neutrophils. this study we examined ability nonmastitic vitro neutrophil chemotaxis using microchemotaxis assay. Also, role inflammatory chemokine interleukin-8 (IL-8) recruitment during was addressed these experiments. We found that both were chemotactic, not chemokinetic, for The chemotactic activity mastitic, but nonmastitic, blocked by anti-IL-8 antibodies. Molecular mass separation active components showed present 10-kDa-or-less fraction These results indicate IL-8 plays mastitis. An understanding will help designing strategies immunomodulatory therapies
