摘要: This study proposes a hybrid, open-loop exciter for the wind turbine-driven induction generator low power applications. The hybrid comprises one set of fixed capacitor bank and parallel connected three-phase frequency pulse width modulation (PWM) inverter fed from battery. inherently adapts to changes in rotor speed or load on while maintaining near constant voltage at terminals. whole system including PWM is operated an open loop, without need any sensors other than low-speed cut-in high-speed cut-out mechanisms turbine. Results simulations laboratory tests show that dynamic reactive compensation inherent proposed system. volt ampere (VA) rating battery capacity can be minimal, depending only upon ranges choice var.
