摘要: Propolis is a natural product produced by the honey bee. The extract contains amino acids, flavanoids, terpenes and cinnamic acid derivatives. In various in vitro models propolis was shown to inhibit platelet aggregation eicosanoid synthesis, suggesting that it might have potent antiinflammatory properties. A 13% aqueous tested orally three dose levels (1, 5 10 ml/kg) on carrageenan rat paw oedema model adjuvant-induced arthritis rats. both models, showed dose-related activity, which compared well with of diclofenac (as reference standard). then an isolated sensitized guinea pig lung preparation study its effect release prostaglandins, leukotrienes histamine. It concluded has properties vivo. Its activity can be correlated effects mediators inflammation.
