摘要: Pattern recognition receptors (PRRs), expressed on cells of both the innate and adaptive immune systems, serve as sentinels, waiting to alert host first signs microbial infection activate initial line defense. Research has increasingly demonstrated that many same PRRs also recognize self-epitopes either are released from dying or damaged present at surface apoptotic bodies. In this context, play a critical role in tissue repair clearance cellular debris. However, failure appropriately regulate self-responses triggered by certain can have serious pathological consequences. The Toll-like receptor (TLR) gene family represents case point. TLR7, 8, 9 were originally identified specific for bacterial viral RNA DNA, but more recent vitro vivo studies now linked these detection RNA, RNA- DNA-associated proteins. they likely key development systemic autoimmune diseases.
