摘要: The circumoval precipition test (COPT) is a simple and inexpensive immunodiagnostic for schistosomiasis japonica which, in the Philippines, has high sensitivity specificity. Lack of standardization does, however, increase variability test. Parameters which influence COPT have been examined using large numbers sera from known S. japonicum infected individuals. In this series experiments, optimal conditions were determined to be as follows 2 drops neat serum incubation at 37 degrees C sealed slide chamber; - approximately 100 eggs 55 or 60 days rabbits 24 48 hour period. COP reactions (i.e. precipitates associated with eggs) much less obvious when either immature obtained long-term used. results emphasize prime importance source Schistosoma performance standardized COPT.
