摘要: BackgroundandPurpose: Previous studies of voxel-based morphometry (VBM) have found that patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) exhibit grey matter alterations, but these findings are inconsistent and not been quantitatively reviewed. Therefore, the aim this study was to conduct a quantitative meta-analysis VBM T2DM. Materials Methods: The seed-based d mapping (SDM) method applied estimate regional abnormalities in T2DM patients. We also used meta-regression explore effects some demographics clinical characteristics. Results: Seven studies, 8 datasets comprising 530 participants 549 non-T2DM controls, were included. pooled subgroup meta-analyses showed robustly reduced bilateral superior temporal gyrus, middle medial frontal insula, median cingulate cortex, precuneus cortex left lentiform nucleus extending into parahippocampus. per¬centage female negatively associated right gyrus illness duration gyrus. Conclusion: This indicates significantly mainly cortical-striatal-limbic networks, which human cognition. Thereby implicating finding patho-physiology cognitive impairment
