摘要: Abstract This work experimentally studied heat transfer associated with an impinging jet onto a rotating sink. Air was used as the coolant, and square Al-foam sink adopted. The variable parameters were Reynolds number (Re), relative nozzle-to-foam tip distance (C/d), rotational (Rer) side length of (L/d). effects Re, C/d, Rer L/d on dimensionless temperature distributions average Nusselt considered. For stationary system, results reveal that (Nu0) two to three times without Al-foam. Nu0 increased Re. A larger responded based same flow rate. effect C/d negligible herein. when Re small large, (NuΩ) considerably Rer. Additionally, for NuΩ/Nu0 ⩾ 1.1, suggest rotation substantial at Rer/Re ⩾ 1.13 L/d = 4.615 C/d = 0–5 Rer/Re ⩾ 1.07 L/d = 3.0 C/d = 0–5. L/d = 2.222, Rer/Re ⩾ 1.44 C/d = 0 always C/d ⩾ 1.
